Terms of service
Last updated: 11.10.2026
These terms apply when you use romulabs.co.uk or buy from us as a consumer. Please read them before ordering and keep a copy for your records. Wholesale purchases are subject to separately agreed terms.
1. About ROMU
This website is operated by ROMU LABS LTD, trading as ROMU.
• Company number: [COMPANY NUMBER]
• Registered in: [PLACE OF REGISTRATION]
• Registered office: [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS]
• Business contact address, if different: [BUSINESS CONTACT ADDRESS]
• Email: [SUPPORT EMAIL]
• Telephone: [CONTACT TELEPHONE]
• VAT number, if applicable: [VAT NUMBER OR REMOVE THIS LINE]
You can also reach us through our Contact Us page.
2. Placing an order
Please check your items, quantities, delivery address and purchase option before paying. If you choose a subscription, check the recurring price and delivery frequency as well.
Our order-received email acknowledges your order. We accept your order and form a contract when we send you a dispatch confirmation. If payment is taken before then, that does not by itself mean the order has been accepted.
If we cannot accept an order, for example because stock is unavailable, payment cannot be authorised or we reasonably suspect fraud, we will tell you and promptly refund any payment taken for the unaccepted order.
If we discover a pricing or product-description error before accepting your order, we will explain it and let you decide whether to proceed on the corrected basis or receive a refund. We will not charge an increased price without your agreement. After acceptance, we will respect your contractual and statutory rights.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include applicable VAT. Delivery charges and any other mandatory charges are shown before you place your order. Available payment methods are displayed at checkout.
You must be authorised to use the payment method you provide. Payment is processed using the payment services available through our Shopify checkout.
Discount codes and promotions are subject to the conditions shown with each offer. Discounts reduce the amount paid and therefore the amount refundable. An offer does not reduce your statutory rights.
4. Delivery
Available delivery destinations, charges and estimated times are shown before checkout is completed. We aim to dispatch within 24 hours, but please allow up to 5 business days for dispatch. Estimated UK delivery is 3–5 business days after dispatch, unless we agree a different timeframe with you. Business days exclude weekends and UK bank holidays.
We will send tracking information when available. If there is a significant delay, we will let you know and explain your options. Unless a different delivery period has been agreed, delivery will take place without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract being made.
If we miss an agreed essential delivery deadline, or do not deliver within an appropriate additional period where one is required, you may have the right to end the contract and receive a refund. Delays outside our control do not remove these rights.
Goods remain our responsibility until they come into your physical possession or that of a person you nominate to receive them, other than the carrier. Different statutory rules may apply if you independently appoint a carrier we did not offer.
5. Subscriptions
A subscription is optional. If you select it, you authorise recurring payments and deliveries at the price and frequency clearly displayed when you sign up. Any minimum commitment and any introductory price followed by a different recurring price must also be shown before you subscribe.
You can manage or cancel your subscription through [SUBSCRIPTION MANAGEMENT METHOD / LINK] or by contacting [SUPPORT EMAIL]. The deadline for stopping the next scheduled charge is [RENEWAL CANCELLATION CUT-OFF]. The minimum commitment is [NO MINIMUM COMMITMENT / INSERT AGREED TERMS].
Cancelling stops future renewals in accordance with the disclosed cut-off. It does not automatically cancel an order already placed, but your cancellation and refund rights for that order remain unaffected. Returning a delivery does not automatically cancel your subscription.
If we propose changing your subscription price or other material terms, we will tell you before the change takes effect and give you a reasonable opportunity to cancel before being charged on the new basis. We will not change the price of an order already accepted. We will provide reminders and cancellation facilities required by applicable law.
6. Product information and use
Please read each product's ingredients, directions, storage instructions and suitability warnings before ordering and before use. Follow the labelled serving instructions and do not exceed the stated recommended intake.
Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Website content is general information, not personalised medical advice. If you are unsure whether a product is suitable for you, seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional.
Individual experiences may vary. This does not affect our responsibility for the accuracy of product descriptions and claims or your consumer rights. Product photography is illustrative; any differences in presentation will not reduce the product's agreed characteristics or quality.
7. Returns, refunds and your rights
Our Refund Policy explains our 30-day money-back guarantee on unused, unopened, sealed products, how to return goods and your separate statutory cancellation rights.
The voluntary guarantee allows you to request a return within 30 days of delivery and send it back within 14 days of your request. It does not cover trying or consuming a product and then changing your mind.
Products must meet the requirements of consumer law, including being of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Nothing in these terms restricts your remedies for faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods, or any other statutory rights.
8. Accounts and website use
If you create an account, keep your login details secure and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access. Keep your contact and delivery information accurate.
Do not use the website for unlawful activity, introduce malicious software, interfere with its security or misuse other customers' information. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, fraud or security risks. This does not remove our obligations for existing orders or valid refunds.
ROMU branding and original website materials belong to us or our licensors. You may browse the site, share links and keep copies for your personal use. Other uses require permission unless permitted by law.
9. Reviews and community content
We welcome honest feedback. If you submit a review, photo or video, please make sure it is your own or that you have permission to share it, including permission from identifiable people where required.
Any permission for ROMU to reuse your content, and any reward for submitting it, will be explained separately when you submit. Sending an enquiry does not give us permission to use it in advertising. Paid-advertising use requires the relevant separate permission.
10. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable if it is an obvious consequence or was contemplated by you and us when the contract was made.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where that would be unlawful. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and your statutory rights relating to the goods.
These terms cover consumer purchases for personal use. We do not accept liability under these consumer terms for business losses such as lost business profits, business interruption or lost business opportunities, to the extent the law permits.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information. Marketing permissions are handled separately from accepting these purchase terms.
12. Complaints
If something is wrong, contact [SUPPORT EMAIL] or use our Contact Us page. Tell us what happened and include your order details if relevant. We will investigate and work with you to resolve the issue.
If we cannot resolve a complaint, we will provide any information about alternative dispute resolution that we are legally required to provide. This does not prevent you from exercising your legal rights.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for future orders. The version agreed when you ordered continues to apply to that order unless a change is required by law or expressly agreed with you. Subscription changes are also subject to section 5 above.
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply where possible. A delay in enforcing a right does not mean it has been waived.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere, you also retain any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts of your home nation. Nothing in this clause removes any right to bring proceedings in another court where applicable law allows it.
